Hello! I need some Reta reconstituting help. ChatGPT is saying it can’t give me this sort of advice 😅
Firstly, I know I’ve purchase oversized vials for my needs so I’ll have wastage 🤦♀️
I have a 20 mg vial. I’m starting at 0.5 mg weekly and titrating to 2 mg. What volume should it be reconstituted to so doses are easy and accurate?

2mL BAC would give you 0.5mg every 5 units. 2 mg would be 20 units

2 or 3ml syringe for reconstitution
2ml bac water
1ml syringe for injection
20 / 2 = 10
10mg per 1ml
1 unit is 100mcg * 5
So 5 units = your 500mcg dose.
However I would not start at 500mcg unless you've never touched a glp-1

I haven’t purchased my syringes yet. I’m wondering if an insulin with a 3ml barrel will suffice or if I need 5ml.

Well you're only putting 2ml into the vial of reta so 2 or 3ml syringes are good.

No one said 5mL. 5 units is 0.05mL. 2mL to reconstitute, 0.05 would be dosing

She just stated she was in mounjaro aka tirzeptide, reta sucks ass in comparison to mounjaro, she will eat too much at 1mg and tbh probably eat too much at 2mg also

2mg is absolutely not too much, its the minimum you should be starting on.

0.5mg is an absolutely pointless dose and a waste of money unless you plan to do 0.5mg every other day
