That's a very over generalized statement that ignores the true reality of greater power dynamics of society that unfortunately does greatly influence people's preferences and decisions on who they find attractive and who they choose to date. Exceptions exist but it can't be whittled down to just if you're interesting or not
It can be whittled down to these core components
1: Are you interesting / fun to be around
2: What do you got going on in your life
3: Are you a loser
(4: Looks)
Once you got the convo going then yes, looks dont matter, on any other place than tinder looks barely matter
They did a study, you have just as high chance of finding love in the wild as tinder
Looks Matter bc thats the First Impression they have of you, If you for example have strong Acne, Most people would think you live unhealthy, even If it wouldnt be the case
