Anyone in here that has used reta for a prolonged time experienced severe dizziness, ear ringing, eye refocusing, mouth tingles when standing up from sitting down? I’ve been hydrating so I don’t think it’s that, but I’ve lost 120 lbs and it has began to worry me.

Get brain imaging and make sure you don’t have a brain tumor, dawg

I titrated up to 4mg over 14 weeks and still experience moderate to intense dizziness with standing up from sitting or crouching. Also with exercise but really only on leg day 😜

Thanks for the data point. I’ve been all the way up to 12mg. Now I’m sitting at 8mg. Drug works great but this side effect has been the most intense for me over a year.

None of the other symptoms. I just get dizzy and sometimes everything goes dark and far away for a few seconds. It's a bit uncomfortable

Oh that's unfortunate. It was the worse for me working my way up, but mostly from stomach and skin sensitivity stuff. The usual

Worst I had it was the first time I experienced it and fell when getting out of bed at night. Since then I’ve been aware to get up slowly and brace myself. Still though I haven’t seen many discussions about this side effect. I think most commonly I see people blaming it on hydration

For me I'm hoping they lessen when I drop down to 1 in a few weeks

I probably don’t get enough either but it didn’t really start happening until about 6 months on reta

I have orthostatic hypotension though, some there have been times in the past where I've gotten dizzy from crouching for too long. For me it seems to exacerbate whats already a thing for me

I've increased my electrolytes and water but I'm probably still falling short.

There's been a few times where I've kept myself upright by sheer will power alone after standing up

I was on 40mg Lisinopril for BP, after losing 40 lb on T I was graying out whenever I stood up. Had to drop the L to 5mg an now down 75 I’m about to quit entirely. Never had high BP until I got heavy. Are you taking any BP meds?

Not at the moment. I'm usually 135/70, and have been for the last 10-15 years

Pretty sure if I dropped my blood pressure right now I'd need a wheelchair to get around

No bp meds. Got off metformin thinking it was causing blood sugar fluctuations and caused it as well but no change
